Classics, as they happen
Ginquill
Thirty public-domain books written as journals, letters and travel notes. Each entry reaches your iPhone on the day and at the hour it was written — and then the writer goes quiet for exactly as long as they did on the page.

Dorothy Wordsworth
“I resolved to write a journal of the time, till W. and J. return…” The next entry arrives in two days.
For readers who stall halfway through a long book
A long classic is easy to start and easy to abandon. Ginquill gives it a rhythm instead of a goal: you never have more than the day's post, you can never read ahead, and the gaps between entries become part of the story — the week Dorothy writes nothing, the five days Nellie Bly is stuck in Colombo.
What it does
The post
Every entry unlocks at its own date and hour. Start on the historic calendar or start today — the book's intervals are kept to the minute.
The character compass
Point your phone and the needle finds the writer where they are in your reading, with the distance from your town. Nellie Bly moves across the globe day by day.
Hold the post
Going away? Pause a book. Every later entry moves back by the same time; no silence is ever shortened.
Quiet hours
Entries that arrive at night still open on time; the notification simply waits until morning.
A real archive
Everything that has arrived, with its silences drawn to scale. Sealed entries show only a date and a countdown.
